It’s April 1 and you know what that means…

International Fun at Work Day

Yes, it’s April Fool’s Day, but it’s also International Fun at Work Day. At RSM, we empower our people to bring their whole, authentic selves to work each day. Celebrating our unique perspectives, backgrounds and passions supports a firm culture that’s a whole lot of fun! We’re sharing some of our professionals’ thoughts around what they find fun about working at RSM, with our middle market clients and our colleagues across the country:

“I have fun every day at work by collaborating with my teammates – from North Carolina to Texas to California, from China to the UK – to develop creative and innovative solutions that really make a positive difference for our clients.” – Mark Kral, office managing partner – Charlotte

“I enjoy really getting to know our middle market clients and learning about the opportunities they are identifying and challenges they are facing. It’s satisfying to be able to utilize our deep industry knowledge to help our clients achieve their business objectives. I get to do both of these things at RSM – what could be more fun than that?!” – Laura Dietzel, senior manager, real estate senior analyst – Chicago

“When you love what you do, it makes everything about your role fun. My work is interesting, exciting, challenging, and rewarding. I am fortunate to lead a fantastic Talent Acquisition Team and work with great people in an environment with an incredible culture that makes me proud to be a part of RSM. For me, every day is fun!” – Mike Baron, head of talent acquisition, U.S. and Canada – Philadelphia

“RSM is a fast-paced, interesting work environment that provides all of us collectively, an opportunity to really make a positive difference for our middle market clients who are the very core of the economy. It’s gratifying (and fun) knowing that we’re providing insightful forward-looking perspectives that really help our clients navigate an ever-changing business environment.” – Kevin Depew, deputy chief economist and industry eminence program leader – New York

RSM provides me with the opportunity to not only fulfill my professional goals, but the firm also provides opportunities to stretch and to do things that really matter to me. For example, my role as the national leader for our Multicultural employee network group allows me to meet fun people and do fun things that aren’t part of my traditional professional role.” – Valerie Colimon, senior manager and national Multicultural employee network group leader – McLean, VA

“For as long as I remember, April 1st has been a day for pranks and extra fun at RSM – an indication of the innovative DNA in our people, our great culture and how downright mischievous some people can be.    Finding new-and-improved ways of doing things, even pranks, is fun.  And an innovative/curious mindset is important to help our clients solve their business needs and challenges.” – Jeff Johannesen, chief strategy and innovation officer – Des Moines
