This scholarship alleviates much of the financial burden it is for me to attend the University of Miami, and further supports my educational goals of being the first in my family to graduate college.
I am ecstatic to have been chosen to receive the First Generation scholarship! This is a symbol of motivation for me to put in every last drop of sweat to make sure I will one day give back to my family who made sacrifices for me to go to school.

How to apply
All applications require a video. Please only use original content – capture only yourself, selfie-style, not other people, photos, music, videos, or unoriginal content. Keep it simple! Failure to follow video guidelines may render your scholarship application ineligible.
Eligibility
The program is open to legal residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 years old, full-time students with a 3.0 GPA or above at an accredited college or university, and studying business or technology in a bachelor's degree program.
Applicants must be a first, second, or third-year student with no immediate family members from previous generations that have received a bachelor's degree. An applicant is still considered a first generation student even if their immediate siblings have or are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Any employee, owner, intern (and immediate family members) of RSM US LLP, Risk & Regulatory Consulting, LLC, and their respective affiliated entities (collectively, "RSM") and of the foundation are not eligible. Any person who has received a scholarship or other aid in prior years of this program or a similar program of the RSM entities or RSM US Foundation is not eligible.
