RSM’s Season of Service Campaign Creates Lasting Impact, Helps Local Communities

CHICAGO – (April 6, 2023) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – recently concluded its fourth annual Season of Service campaign, raising $76,615 and volunteering 1,400 hours for communities across the U.S. and Canada where the firm’s people live and work.

RSM’s Season of Service campaign is a stewardship opportunity that honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and offers a chance for the firm’s people to serve others by sharing their time, talents and treasures throughout the holiday season. The campaign, led by RSM’s African American and Canadian Excellence (AACE) employee network group (ENG), is one of several opportunities RSM sponsors to encourage the firm’s people to support their local communities.

During this year’s Season of Service campaign, RSM’s people, families and friends were able to make a positive impact in their local communities by:

  • Donating to the Racial Understanding Campaign or the RSM US Foundation, which is focused on building tomorrow’s middle market leaders.
  • Participating in a local #HashtagLunchbag activity to make and deliver meals to organizations who provide meals for people who are food insecure within various metropolitan communities.

“From Charlotte to Los Angeles, our people raised more than $76,000 in donations and Dollars for Doers grants from the RSM US Foundation, which included a $19,200 grant to #HashtagLunchbag,” said Aureon Herron-Hinds, national AACE ENG leader and Washington National Tax principal with RSM US LLP. “That’s an increase over last year, with almost 600 of RSM’s people completing more than 1,400 hours of community service through sponsored events, which included packing more than 17,000 meals, care kits and other needed supplies for organizations in their communities.”

“RSM has shown us such generosity over the last few years by providing hundreds of huge sack lunches with handmade subs piled high with various meats and cheeses. They also ran a canned food drive that was donated to our food pantry which serves about 150 individuals monthly,” said Bridgette Williams-Robinson, co-owner of Bridge Under the Bridge (BUTB), a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based nonprofit that benefitted from RSM’s efforts. “RSM has assisted BUTB in many different ways and we are very grateful for this relationship, which we hope to continue growing as time goes on.”
