Event overview

RSM US and RSM Canada are pleased to present Workforce Wednesdays, a selected series of events that will offer holistic conversations around the continuing remote workforce, the post-pandemic world we are living in.

Part 1: Is your global mobility team prepared for potential moves?
Aug. 11, 2021

Have you considered the current landscape and considerations of your international remote workforce? Wondering which strategy is right for your organization? Join RSM for Workforce Wednesdays where we will provide a road map on strategy, governance and guidelines, and work permits.  We will also review remote working UK/U.S. considerations and how to plan for the future and immigration policy.

Part 2:  Where and how does your workforce work? Perspectives on Canadian provincial and U.S. state and local taxes
Aug. 18, 2021

As summer comes to a close, and most businesses have their workers potentially back in person, or in a hybrid set up—have you considered how state and local taxes affect your workforce and your business? Are your employees also aware of how they may need to reconsider their tax situations based on their new or revised work location?

Part 3: Shifting to a remote workforce: Policy and benefit considerations
Aug. 25, 2021

During this session, our human capital and national tax subject matter experts will cover employment policy and employee benefit considerations for a remote workforce.  We will cover policy enhancements and additions, group benefit designs and the related tax considerations.  We also provide a brief update of pending legislative considerations.

Part 4: Improving employee financial wellness
Sept. 1, 2021

During this session, our retirement plan and human capital subject matter experts will cover the employee financial wellness assistance and how to continue to fulfill that in a completely remote environment.  We will cover best practices for delivering financial wellness to employees in a virtual environment and look at metrics to measure success of financial wellness initiatives.  Additionally, we will provide information from a total compensation perspective, how compensation plays a role in financial wellness and identify what employers need to do to ensure their total compensation programs are competitive.
