Megan Khang is an American professional golfer and is the first player of Hmong and Laotian descent on the LPGA. Her parents were refugees from the Vietnam War from Laos and came to the United States with their respective families in the 1970s. Khang started playing golf at age five, and credits her dad as having the most influence on her career. Megan was part of the 2019 Solheim Cup team and finished fifth at the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open.
Growing up in Massachusetts, Megan enjoys snowboarding, hiking, fishing, swimming and beach-going. She has partnered with Golf Fore Africa, whose mission is to bring water to rural areas in Zambia and to end the global water crisis. Megan helps raise awareness and financial support for the organization and plays in their fundraising events each year, hoping to garner enough support to finance her own well in Zambia, which will bring clean water, health and hope to more than 300 people living in poverty.
