Davis Love III is one of the most recognized and respected players in golf today. In his 25-year PGA TOUR career, he has amassed 20 tournament victories, including winning the 1997 PGA Championship at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York. In 1997, Davis wrote a book entitled, "Every Shot I Take," to honor his late father's lessons and teachings on golf and life. The book was a recipient of the USGA’s International Book Award in its publication year. Davis, along with his brother Mark, own and operate Love Golf Design where they have renovated courses such as Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the Retreat Course at Sea Island Resort, in St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, and also built original designs in many locations across the country. In 2005, Davis and his wife Robin founded The Davis Love Foundation, which contributes to the well-being and progress of society by supporting both national and community-based programs that focus on children and their families. The Davis Love Foundation will serve as the host organization for the PGA TOUR’s RSM Classic while Love III is the tournament chairperson.
