RSM recognized as Yellow Ribbon Company by Minnesota

According to the state of Minnesota, a Yellow Ribbon Company is a company with national, regional or statewide influence, which unites recruiting, policies and procedures, training and development, community and employee outreach, and support departments to ‘create a network that connects and coordinates these areas throughout the company for the purpose of proactively supporting and meeting the needs of service members, veterans and military families.’
“Thousands of Minnesotans have served and continue to serve our country,” said Mike Nelson, RSM Minneapolis office managing partner and regional leader of the Stars & Stripes Employee Network Group (ENG). “By developing a Yellow Ribbon Network within the firm, we’re honoring and embracing those who serve and or have served our country, as well as their families. The demonstration of support helps deployed service members transition back into the workplace, recognizes veterans and serves as a support system for military-connected employees.”
To be recognized as a Yellow Ribbon Company, companies work with the State of Minnesota’s director of military outreach to develop a sustainable, formal action plan demonstrating our long-term commitment to service members, veterans and military families.
