Patrick is aligned with RSM’s financial services industry practice and serves as national industry leader over the financial institution practice. He has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a firm-designated financial institutions specialist. Patrick is with the external audit practice and has served clients with $100 million to $20 billion in assets. He has experience servicing financial institutions such as banks, credit unions, mortgage companies, specialty finance entities and trusts. Patrick also has experience advising financial services clients, including investment companies, private equity firms and hedge funds.
His focus includes auditing the financial reporting processes of publicly traded and privately held clientele under the various regulatory requirements, which include Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Accounting Standards Board guidelines. Patrick has experience with numerous special engagements, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and multiple securitizations consisting of registration statement due diligence, comfort letter procedures, and coordination with underwriters, legal counsel and management. His focus includes the auditing of internal controls as well as advising clients on the regulatory requirements associated with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
