RSM US Foundation Announces Endowed Scholarship and Faculty Fellowship at UNC-Wilmington
CHICAGO – (May 16, 2023) – The RSM US Foundation, a tax-exempt public charity dedicated to building tomorrow’s middle market leaders, is pleased to announce a $100,000 donation to support the formation of the RSM US Endowed Scholarship in Accounting and the RSM Faculty Fellowship at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW).
With efforts spearheaded by RSM partner and UNCW alum (’85) Morris Mashburn and support from the RSM US Foundation, the RSM US Endowed Scholarship in Accounting is a merit-based scholarship that will be awarded to students from the Cameron School of Business Department of Accountancy and Business Law who possess GPAs of 3.5 or higher, and will focus on those who have demonstrated academic ability and special achievement. The first scholarship is expected to be awarded in 2025.
The RSM Faculty Fellowship will award a fellowship to a faculty member in the Cameron School of Business who will serve a three-year term as the RSM Faculty Fellow.
“We are honored to receive this wonderfully generous gift from the RSM US Foundation to establish the RSM Scholarship in Accounting and the RSM Faculty Fellowship in Accounting,” said Leslie Holdsworth, director of development at the Cameron School of Business. “The scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving student with a bright future in accountancy, while the fellowship will help recruit and retain talented faculty by providing an annual stipend above and beyond salary. This is a significant and long-lasting investment in the best and brightest students and faculty at the Cameron School of Business and we are deeply grateful.”
