RSM Congratulates Ludvig Åberg, Winner of the 2023 RSM Classic

CHICAGO – (November 19, 2023) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to congratulate Ludvig Åberg on winning the 2023 RSM Classic.

Åberg, a 24-year-old PGA TOUR rookie fresh off his first Ryder Cup appearance, shot back-to-back 61s over the weekend. Åberg birdied three of his last four holes on Sunday to secure his first PGA TOUR victory by four strokes.

“I’m pleased to congratulate this year’s RSM Classic winner, Ludvig Åberg, on his win and to welcome him to our RSM ‘family’ as a tournament champion,” said Brian Becker, managing partner & CEO with RSM US LLP. “The RSM Classic is special to us because it embodies our brand promise—the power of being understood. From creating a powerful platform to give back to meet the needs of our communities to providing quality time with clients and friends to build deeper relationships while enjoying the game of golf, The RSM Classic enables us to showcase our understanding and stewardship.”

Åberg joins the growing list of previous champions of The RSM Classic, including Team RSM Member Chris Kirk.

“The RSM Classic is an essential part of our firm’s history,” said Doug Opheim, chair of the RSM US Foundation. “I’m honored to be a part of this continued history that keeps on giving, most recently with last week’s announcement that our Power of Love campaign has raised more than $4.7 million to support children and families, bringing our total donated through the program to more than $41 million.”

Proceeds from this year’s RSM Classic will benefit national and local charitable organizations aligned with the RSM US Foundation’s mission of building tomorrow’s middle market leaders by supporting organizations committed to providing stable environments for youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing and health.

“I’m pleased to mark another successful year at The RSM Classic with our clients and prospective clients, as well as our friends in the Golden Isles community and beyond,” said Andy Bosman, chief marketing officer with RSM US LLP. “Together we make our communities stronger, and I am grateful for the impact we’ve been able to make through The RSM Classic.”
