Since joining RSM, I’ve been impacted most by our culture. I’m so grateful to work for a firm that sees the value each person brings to a team.
I am always amazed by the strength of character of our people, and how they demonstrate RSM’s values each day with our clients and each other.

Today, RSM US LLP (“RSM”) joins more than 150 organizations nationwide in recognizing the “Day of Understanding,” hosted by CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™. The goal of the day is to address bias and increase understanding in the workplace and beyond.
The Day of Understanding falls the day after RSM’s annual Culture, Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) Summit, where more than 150 leaders from across the firm gather each year to discuss the importance of inclusion, successes to date and opportunities for improvement. This year’s event included an RSM leadership ‘unplugged panel,’ a client panel focused on the power of inclusion in the marketplace, a “Speed of Inclusion” workshop and a call from senior leaders for attendees to return to their offices and have open conversations about key issues surrounding race, gender and sexual orientation to drive understanding and appreciation of differences.
“At RSM, we understand the importance of embracing the diverse perspectives of our nearly 10,000 people in more than 85 offices across the country,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO with RSM. “This inclusive approach is representative of our increasingly diverse client base, and it is essential for driving new and innovative ideas to help them succeed. That’s why we’re embracing this Day of Understanding – and why we’re encouraging others to do the same. It’s simply the right thing to do.”
The Day of Understanding ties directly back to the coalition’s foundational commitments to make workplaces trusting places to have complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion, as well as implement and expand unconscious bias education.
To better engage all employees and citizens everywhere, the coalition also launched a unique opportunity through the “I Act On” pledge, a personal pledge any individual can take to commit to tackling and cultivating more inclusive behaviors in their everyday lives. Anyone can take the pledge here.
