Code of conduct

Our Code of Conduct outlines the standards of ethical behavior for which we hold each other responsible. The code is tied to our rich history and serves as a guide for our actions. RSM ethics and compliance hotline

The RSM US Hotline allows any RSM employee, client or vendor who sees, suspects or knows about fraudulent, illegal or unethical behavior to report it. The hotline is staffed by an outside organization that specializes in gathering the information needed to appropriately follow up with a concern. RSM’s audit quality report is intended to provide a window into how RSM US LLP promotes and monitors audit quality. The report provides information on our audit practice, including various aspects of our system of quality control such as those related to leadership responsibilities, relevant ethical requirements, client acceptance, engagement team management, engagement performance and monitoring.

For us, it’s all about our clients. That’s why we have demanded audit excellence for nearly 100 years.

As professionals who provide opinions as to the fairness of financial statements, we define our clients as the users of those financial statements. Our clients are the shareholders of a public company, the owners of a private company and other stakeholders. For auditors, “serving clients” means providing services with objectivity, competence and due care for the benefit of the stakeholders who demand audit excellence.

Board of directors

Our board of directors serves as the governing body for RSM US LLP, the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market. Board members are elected by RSM partners and serve four-year terms. A chairman of the board is elected annually. The board focuses on the firm’s strategic objectives and continuously guides the firm in the tradition of quality, integrity and client service excellence that has been the hallmark of the firm since its inception in 1926.
