Tim McNeal is the assurance leader of the employee benefits plan practice at RSM US LLP. Previously, he was the Central region leader for the firm’s employee benefits plan practice.
Tim has been with RSM for more than 30 years, working with clients on different types of employee benefit plans, including defined contribution profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans, and health and welfare plans with master trust assets exceeding $1 billion. He enjoys helping clients with those audits, which he believes are often underappreciated and misunderstood.
He has served clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail, and service. His extensive experience includes conducting audits, reviewing financial statements, and contributing to special projects, including business acquisitions. Along the way, he has helped to oversee the design and implementation of the firm’s assurance approach.
Tim has been an instructor for the firm’s internal training programs for the last several years and takes an active role in the firm’s recruiting and orientation program for new employees. He is a mentor in the firm’s CDI Mentor Program and relishes being a career advisor to colleagues at the firm. He considers people to be the firm’s greatest resource and is committed to driving a positive culture by helping others in their careers.
In his personal time, Tim enjoys road biking and supporting his three children in athletics, especially their volleyball matches.
