In his role at RSM, Steve is responsible for strategy development and execution on growth, product development and solutions for clients within the TMT industry. He oversees a team of high-performing leaders who work together to create community, develop thought leadership, and help grow the TMT practice across the United States and Canada. He serves emerging growth and middle market publicly held enterprises backed by venture capital and private equity, with a focus on the TMT and life sciences industries.
Prior to joining RSM, Steve spent 16 years at a former Big Eight public accounting firm where he was an audit partner, plus 15 years at a Big Four firm from which he retired in 2017 to join RSM.
Steve is well known in the Northeast as a trusted partner to companies in the TMT and life sciences industries. His ability to work directly with company founders to build their business has brought him much success throughout his public accounting career. He has helped CEOs prepare their companies for initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and succession events. His deep experience with the life cycle of middle market companies helps him anticipate and offer solutions to complex client issues.
His passion for innovation and technology aligns well with Steve’s role in the TMT industry, which encompasses enterprise software, software as a service, esports, digital media, mobile technology and more. He recognizes how these services ease our daily lives and is committed to serving the business owners and founders of these companies. By leveraging his previous experiences aligning people, processes and systems, he is able to fulfill RSM’s promise to deliver the power of being understood and to position the firm as a first-choice advisor to middle market clients globally.
Steve builds relationships as a trusted advisor not only to clients, but also to colleagues. He is proactive in bringing colleagues along with him to learn and share experiences with the next generation of RSM leaders. He has a passion for campus recruiting and spends time working with local Boston universities, including his alma mater, Bentley University, to bring young professionals to RSM.
A world traveler, Steve and his family have visited 32 countries together. They have been on safari in Tanzania, visited the Great Wall of China and hiked Machu Picchu in Peru.
