With two decades of experience, Marlon’s primary focus has been providing tax compliance and consulting services for a variety of real estate clients, including real estate funds, private real estate investment trusts, joint ventures, and family partnerships.
Marlon has extensive experience developing and executing on federal, state, and international tax strategies to meet sponsor and investor needs for clients with foreign and domestic investors, including individuals, fund of funds, managed accounts, and various institutions (pensions, endowments, foundations, etc.). These clients primarily invest in domestic real estate assets across all product types (hotel, multifamily, office, retail, senior housing, etc.).
A frequent writer and speaker in the industry, Marlon authors content in real estate publications and is often called upon for advice on real estate tax issues across the firm. He also is a guest lecturer for Georgetown University’s Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate program.
