Eliot Mitchell is a partner with RSM US LLP in the business risk consulting practice. He assists with the design, implementation and sustainment of internal controls for middle market and large publicly traded companies in the technology, media and entertainment, and telecommunications industries.
Eliot has provided guidance and expertise to multiple public company internal audit functions including as the leading partner on multiple fully outsourced and co-sourced internal audit functions engagements. Eliot’s ability to be agile and lead value-driven engagements has earned exceptional credibility from members of senior leadership and public company board members. He has extensive experience helping companies design and implement controls to remediate pervasive control deficiencies in multifaceted and frustrated Sarbanes-Oxley Law (SOX) compliance environments.
His experience at RSM includes a multitude of risk management offerings such as SOX compliance, internal audit transformation and delivery, enterprise risk management consulting, IT security and privacy risk consulting, business process improvement and enterprise project management. Additionally, Eliot has extensive experience supporting technical accounting projects including implementation of new FASB standards and support of SOX control implementations around ASC-606 and ASC-842.
