Art Yonowitz leads the business owner practice for RSM US LLP and RSM Canada. He is part of RSM US LLP’s federal tax leadership team, and he is the firm’s tax market leader for Baltimore.
Art has provided comprehensive tax services to businesses and family offices for more than 30 years. His business clients include private and public companies across several industries, including consumer products, industrials, and business and professional services. He also serves some of RSM’s most prestigious family office clients.
As the leader of the firm’s business owner practice, Art guides a group of over 700 tax professionals across the United States and Canada that focuses on serving private companies—both the businesses and their ownership. He brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to serving this diverse client base. For example, he regularly works with clients to develop optimal entity structures that help businesses and families achieve their goals and objectives while minimizing cash tax costs.
He also advises clients about how new tax laws affect them, and he co-develops approaches to best manage these changes. Art actively helps his clients on deal structures and advice, and he represents his clients in all matters of potential tax controversy.
Art started his career at a former Big Five firm, where he was a tax partner. He then became a tax partner at a Big Four firm and more recently was a managing director at a top-10 tax advisory firm.
