RSM Announces New Board Chairman, Members
RSM US LLP (“RSM”) — the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market — recently named Bob Jacobson as the firm's new chairman of the board for a one-year term, succeeding Ed Bartak whose term concluded Nov. 30, 2016. Additional new board members include Matt Bradvica, national leader of RSM’s credits, incentives and methods group; Gregg Kiehl, RSM’s Southeast region tax services leader and Carolinas market managing partner; and Milton Marcotte, RSM’s national leader of transaction advisory services and health care consulting services. Each of the new board members was elected to a four-year term effective Dec. 1, 2016.

Jacobson is located in the firm’s Irvine, CA office, and serves as the firm’s West region consulting services leader, overseeing the regional risk advisory, technology and financial advisory practices. He has held several leadership positions since joining the firm in 2002, including national consulting managing director and national risk advisory services line leader. He has also been involved in programs and initiatives to drive growth, profitability, quality, risk containment and effective practice management. Jacobson holds several certifications and has previously served in other non-RSM board positions, incuilding OCTANe and other non-profit organzations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Carleton College and completed post-graduate classes in accounting and finance at the University of Minnesota. Jacobson has been a board member since 2014.
Bradvica joined RSM in 1991 as a tax associate in the firm’s Bloomington, MN, office, and transferred to San Diego in 1996, where he became a partner in 2001. He has served in various leadership roles and currently serves as the national leader of RSM’s credits, incentives and methods group and is the leader of the firm’s San Diego tax practice. Throughout his career, Bradvica has served growing publicly and privately held companies in the technology, software, food and beverage, consumer products, real estate and business services sectors. He is a member of the California, Minnesota and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is active in the community, serving on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Bernardo Heights Country Club, Carmel Mountain Ranch Little League and the Association for Corporate Growth. He received a Master’s degree in taxation from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Redlands.
Kiehl joined RSM in 2004, and currently serves as the Southeast region tax services leader and Carolinas market managing partner. He has more than 23 years of experience providing tax compliance and high-level tax advisory services to corporations, partnerships and LLCs. He serves clients in a variety of industries, including wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, real estate and professional services. Prior to that he, spent 11 years with a Big Four firm. Kiehl is a certified public accountant in North Carolina and Texas, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. He earned both his Master’s degree in accounting and Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Marcotte is based out of the firm’s Chicago, IL office, and is currently the national leader of RSM’s transaction advisory services practice and consulting services for the health care industry. Marcotte began his career as an auditor with the firm in 1991, and then rejoined the firm in 1998 after four years as the corporate controller for a diversified manufacturing company. Marcotte is a member of the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Association for Corporate Growth. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Illinois and completed the Executive Advisor Program at University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
