McGladrey Names Industry Leads for its Transaction Advisory Services Practice

Competitive M&A market drives need for specialized industry expertise


NEW YORK, NY – RSM McGladrey, a leading professional services firm providing tax and consulting services under the McGladrey brand, recently named industry leads within its Transaction Advisory Services practice for seven industry sector verticals.

In today's competitive deal environment, buyers are finding industry specialization can be a true differentiator. And post-deal, that specialization can be used to create efficiencies and improve growth. This trend is highlighted in a recent private equity survey published by McGladrey in which 33 percent of respondents said they intend to narrow their industry focus.

As a result of this increased industry focus, buyers and sellers are also demanding industry expertise from their M&A service providers. "Financial and strategic buyers continue to face aggressive competition, and they are looking to their advisors for the right industry expertise to help them minimize risk, close deals and improve company performance," said Milton Marcotte, national managing director – Transaction Advisory Services for RSM McGladrey.
