CHICAGO – (May 14, 2026) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services for the middle market – today announced several leadership appointments across the firm, reinforcing RSM’s focus on aligning leadership capabilities with the evolving scale and demands of the middle market.
These appointments deepen leadership across key areas of the business, strengthening execution and cross-firm collaboration as RSM continues to evolve and grow alongside its clients.

Enterprise
Kerensa Butler will join the RSM US leadership team as enterprise global leader, aligned to COO Sam Mascareno. As RSM continues to expand its global footprint and deepen transatlantic collaboration, her leadership will be instrumental in strengthening connectivity across teams and supporting effective execution of our strategy across borders. In this role, Butler will partner closely with RSM International leadership and the RSM International Board to align global priorities with our transatlantic strategy. She brings deep experience in assurance, private equity and global growth, along with a collaborative leadership style and strong commitment to our people and firm.
Assurance
Adam Hallemeyer has become RSM’s chief auditor effective May 1, succeeding RSM partner Sara Lord who served in the role for over 10 years. In this role, Hallemeyer will have overall responsibility for the firm’s audit quality management and audit and assurance policies, guidance and methodology. Additionally, he will lead efforts to ensure audit engagements are performed with integrity, consistency, quality and in compliance with professional standards, and drive innovation and continuous improvement across the audit process. Hallemeyer brings more than 20 years of experience at RSM and most recently served as deputy chief auditor and leader of the firm’s Assurance Standards and Methodology Group, playing a central role in modernizing RSM’s assurance approach and advancing technology‑enabled audit practices.
Office of Risk Management
Valerie Wahl, previously a partner at a Big Four firm, has been appointed partner, enterprise ethics and independence leader. Wahl is responsible for the firm’s independence risk management framework, including independence monitoring, policy guidance, training and independence consultations with engagement teams. She partners closely with line of business leaders and other stakeholders to help teams navigate independence considerations to deliver with quality and instill confidence as first choice advisors to our clients. Wahl brings more than 25 years of experience in independence, ethics and compliance leadership within public accounting. She has led large, multidisciplinary independence teams, developed enterprise independence strategies, supported regulatory inquiries and driven continuous improvement in quality control and compliance programs.
Consulting
Stacy Dow, formerly the leader of the Financial Consulting practice and RSM Catamaran, has been named leader of the Deal Services practice. In this role, she oversees the strategy and delivery of RSM’s integrated set of capabilities across the full M&A lifecycle – from buy-side and sell-side advisory to divestiture strategy and capital markets readiness. With more than three decades of experience navigating complex transactions, she has advised corporations and private equity funds through growth capital raises, platform acquisitions, add-on strategies and exits – giving her firsthand insight into how sponsors evaluate, execute and create value in portfolio companies.
Bjorn Hill, formerly the leader of the Managed IT Cloud and Infrastructure practice, has been named leader of the Business Applications practice. In this role, Hill is responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of ERP and CRM implementations that help clients modernize core business processes and drive scalable growth. The practice partners primarily with Microsoft, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, and other leading ERP and CRM providers to deliver integrated and modernized business software solutions. With more than 20 years industry experience and known for building high-performing teams, Hill brings a pragmatic and quality-centric approach to delivering measurable business outcomes for RSM clients.
Thomas Dimino, formerly the leader of the accounting and finance consulting practice, has been named leader of the Financial Consulting practice. In this role, Dimino will continue to build RSM’s finance and accounting advisory and outsourced capabilities, while guiding clients through complex business, accounting and financial reporting challenges and opportunities. Dimino draws on his extensive experience as a financial consultant, tax adviser and auditor to understand a client’s needs and implement workable solutions. He has provided extensive M&A advisory services to privately held businesses and has served as a full-time CFO of several companies navigating through initial public offerings, giving him a true sense of what it’s like inside a client’s operations.
Ron Beck, formerly practice leader for RSM’s infrastructure services, has been named leader of the Managed IT Cloud and Infrastructure practice, where he will lead RSM’s industry-leading infrastructure and managed services solutions. Beck brings more than 25 years of experience working across the latest managed services and technology platforms, including cloud and data, connectivity and edge, and endpoint solutions. Since joining RSM, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening its relationships with leading cloud and infrastructure partners and driving innovation through emerging technologies.
Ross Krusell, having served as leader of RSM’s enterprise account teams, has also been named as the leader for RSM Catamaran. In this role, Krusell will accelerate the modernization and expansion of outsourced and managed solutions specifically crafted for middle market organizations. These services are not only integrated and industry-focused but designed to adapt and scale as clients’ ambitions grow. With more than two decades of experience, Krusell has a reputation for igniting team spirit, turning complexity into clarity and delivering forward-thinking solutions. His leadership will shape how RSM delivers its expertise and resources to clients across industries and around the globe.
Ana Minter has been named consulting leader for AI go-to-market, responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s AI strategy to help clients realize tangible business value in the age of AI. With more than two decades of consulting and industry experience, Minter has led organizations through large-scale transformation by aligning business strategy, operating models and technology execution. Her leadership spans complex initiatives where emerging technologies must be operationalized responsibly and at scale. Drawing on deep experience in technology transformation, enterprise implementations and process optimization, Minter is well positioned to help clients move beyond experimentation— embedding AI into core business processes with clarity, discipline and measurable outcomes.
John Harder, formerly consulting operations leader, has been named consulting transatlantic integration leader. In this role, he will help with the creation and execution of RSM’s UK technology consulting strategy and support the alignment of US and UK consulting strategies and operations after the agreement to form a new transatlantic partnership. Harder has more than 35 years of professional services experience serving clients ranging from startup organizations to Fortune 500 companies, including project leadership and management, evaluation and development of technology strategy, assessment and improvement of business processes and implementation of technology solutions.
Caitlin Hughes, formerly operations leader of the Financial Consulting practice, has been named consulting operations leader. She is responsible for financial strategy and management, performance measurement and driving operational excellence throughout RSM Consulting, ensuring that it has the right team to deliver and grow the business. With nearly two decades at RSM, Hughes brings deep experience across consulting and is known for her collaborative leadership style, strong operational acumen, and focus on aligning people, processes and technology to develop scalable solutions.
Financial Services
Jon Waterman, formerly the asset management sector leader, has been appointed the new national industry leader for financial services. Waterman brings almost 30 years of deep experience guiding clients through complex challenges and opportunities in the asset management sector. Under his leadership, those serving financial services clients can look forward to continuing to strengthen our focus on all sectors within financial services and deliver the perspectives and solutions our clients need to thrive in a rapidly evolving market. Waterman will continue to serve as the assurance leader for the asset management capability within the financial markets service line.
Joe Kaczmarek has been appointed as the new sector lead for specialty finance. In this role, Kaczmarek will drive the sector’s strategic objectives, including business-critical initiatives, go-to-market strategy, key milestones and talent development, while partnering closely with our audit, tax and consulting teams to strengthen client service, accelerate innovation and expand our market presence. Over the years, his leadership has been instrumental in expanding RSM’s specialty finance consulting offerings, deepening key client relationships and driving double-digit growth for the sector as a whole. His digital focus will bring a fresh perspective to specialty finance and help facilitate continued success in an ever-changing industry, with an emphasis on scalable solutions, emerging technologies and talent development across the practice. Kaczmarek will continue to serve as the financial services audit industry leader and the national fintech leader as he transitions into this expanded role.
Business and Professional Services
Chris Murphy, formerly the business services sector leader, has been appointed the leader for two new business and professional services sectors – facility and environmental services and workforce solutions. Murphy is a seasoned partner with over 25 years of experience with RSM, overseeing client relationships and audit engagements for some of the firm’s most complex and high-profile clients. In his new roles, he will focus on leading asset- and operations-intensive businesses navigating regulatory, infrastructure and economic pressures, as well as talent and workforce delivery, helping clients scale, modernize and manage risk in a rapidly evolving environment.
Technology, Media and Telecommunications
Brendan Joosten, formerly the national telecommunications sector leader, has been appointed to lead the newly formed national telecommunications, media and entertainment sector. He will oversee the firm’s assurance, tax and consulting practices that serve clients across the full TMT spectrum — from early-stage companies raising initial equity through large multinational companies — with deep expertise in revenue recognition, private equity-backed companies, SEC filings, and business combinations. Joosten has almost 20 years of experience providing auditing and financial advisory services to a variety of clients. He has extensive experience working with private equity group portfolio companies, assisting in business combinations and revenue recognition-oriented due diligence matters on potential acquisition targets for these clients.
Industrials
Katie Landy, risk consulting principal and graduate of the industry eminence program, has been appointed national manufacturing sector leader. In this role, she will guide and continue to drive the firm’s manufacturing strategy, growth and client service efforts. Katie brings more than 15 years of consulting experience, with deep expertise in internal audit, internal controls, and enterprise risk management. Prior to joining RSM, she served as Chief Audit Executive for a global manufacturing and distribution organization—where she also partnered with RSM as a client—giving her a distinctive, dual perspective on both advisory and industry leadership.
Anne Slattery, formerly an industrials senior analyst, has been appointed the new national energy sector leader. In her new role, Slattery will lead RSM's energy sector efforts nationally, serving clients across all aspects of the energy value chain, including oil and gas, oilfield services, power and utilities, renewables and petrochemicals. Slattery has more than 18 years of experience in the energy industry and risk management for public and private organizations. Prior to joining RSM, she served as director of internal audit for a Houston-based petrochemicals company, where her responsibilities included overseeing the internal audit department, reporting to the audit committee and serving as co-chair of the enterprise risk management program.
Real Estate
Brandon Maves, formerly the national construction sector leader, has been appointed as the new national construction and real estate industry leader. Under Maves, those serving CRE clients can look forward to RSM’s continued strength delivering the perspectives and solutions our clients need to thrive in a rapidly evolving market. He has more than 24 years of experience as a strategic leader providing assurance and business advisory services to all segments of the construction and real estate sectors, including general, subcontractor and specialty contractors, real estate owners, investors, funds, fund sponsors, real estate investment trusts and real estate developers.
Brandon Jones, formerly the national construction tax leader, has been appointed the new national construction sector leader. In his new role, Jones will lead RSM's construction sector efforts nationally and serve as a strategic leader for the larger industry. Brandon brings 30 years of experience supporting privately owned businesses and families. He is considered an expert in construction tax law; as well as partnership and S-corporation entity tax law. Jones has also led the local tax department serving private companies in the construction, real estate and renewable energy sectors.
