CHICAGO – (March 21, 2023) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to be recognized with an Early Talent Award (ETA) from Handshake, a leading site for college students looking for jobs. RSM is one of the few companies to receive this prestigious designation three times following the establishment of the awards in 2021.
Handshake is the top job platform for Gen Z. Seventy-five percent of U.S. college students have access through their schools’ career services centers, and many companies from a variety of industries use the platform to recruit early talent. Handshake’s ETAs recognize top employers for Gen Z careers, and RSM is one of only 180 employers, out of more than 750,000, to receive an award this year. RSM is also one of just a handful of employers being recognized in the accounting industry. The Early Talent Award positions RSM as an industry leader and as an employer of choice for Gen Z.
Employers of all sizes across industries are eligible to win an Early Talent Award, as these awards assess how well companies engage early talent. To identify winners, Handshake follows a structured methodology that measures performance in four areas that deliver positive outcomes for both employers and Gen Z job seekers: Gen Z brand resonance, engagement, event participation and relationships. According to Handshake, RSM received an ETA this year because the firm outperformed its industry peers across these metrics, making RSM a top workplace for Gen Z careers.
“At RSM, we understand the importance of diversity and inclusion, and the role that a workplace’s culture plays in creating an environment where everyone feels valued for their contributions and where they experience a sense of belonging,” said Ty Beasley, chief talent officer with RSM US LLP. “We are honored to receive Handshake’s Early Talent Award for the third consecutive year as it demonstrates that our efforts to attract and retain high-performing, up-and-coming people who can help our clients and our firm achieve their goals are working, and that RSM is truly a great place to work.”
