RSM’s Donna Sciarappa Recognized Among The Ohio Society of CPAs’ Inaugural Class of Power of Change Honorees

Sciarappa is among 12 honored for their advocacy, leadership and impact surrounding women’s initiatives

CHICAGO – (August 24, 2022) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to share that The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) recently honored Donna Sciarappa, partner and Great Lakes market leader with RSM, at its Women, Wealth and Wellness Conference for exhibiting extraordinary leadership, community involvement, mentorship and innovation in women’s initiatives.

In its inaugural year, the Power of Change recognition program honors individuals who are advocates for women’s initiatives in the workplace and business community, serve as mentors or role models, make a significant impact on their communities and/or break barriers for other women. A committee of OSCPA members and staff selected the honorees from a pool of nominees put forward by their colleagues and co-workers.

“I am proud of Donna for being honored by The Ohio Society of CPAs,” said Bill Gorman, chief operating officer with RSM US LLP. “She embodies RSM’s core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence and stewardship in everything she does, and consistently shows up to help people in the communities where we live and work.”

“I am honored and humbled to receive this Power of Change recognition from The Ohio Society of CPAs,” said Sciarappa. “As an avid supporter of RSM’s STAR women’s employee network group, which identifies high-performing women and champions their path to partnership, it is a priority for me to help enable progress and promote achievement for women in the workplace.”

“The research shows there is a phenomenon taking place in which women are leading their organizations in things like compassion, inclusion and equity. But too often they are leading from the middle or back of their organizations and not from their rightful places at the front,” said OSCPA President & CEO Scott Wiley, CAE. “At OSCPA, we are invested in seeing women succeed, and we know the future of business depends on prioritizing the issues and topics women are emphasizing. The Power of Change honor offers well-deserved recognition to exceptional leaders who make significant contributions every day to their organizations and communities. We’re honored to applaud this incredible class of honorees who are breaking down barriers to success, recognition and impact at both the individual and organizational levels.”

Sciarappa serves on RSM’s combined leadership team, as well as on the executive management team. She is a former member of the RSM US LLP Board of Directors and currently serves on the RSM US Foundation Board of Directors.

Sciarappa was recognized along with other 2022 Power of Change honorees from across Ohio. See the full list here.
