RSM Receives Second Early Talent Award from Handshake

CHICAGO – (June 14, 2022) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to have recently received an Early Talent Award (ETA) from Handshake, a leading site for college students to find jobs. According to Handshake, RSM is “one of a lucky few” to receive this esteemed designation twice, following the establishment of the awards in 2021.  

Handshake’s ETAs celebrate the top employers that launch early careers for Gen Z. These great workplaces are in the top percentile of the more than 650,000 employers that rely on Handshake to power their college recruiting.

What’s unique about the ETAs is employers across industries and size are eligible to win. This is because winners are evaluated on their early talent recruitment and engagement activity rather than company size or hiring volume, and along the following criteria:

  • Gen Z brand resonance (35%): Total job views to total applications,
  • Engagement (30%): Number of unique clicks per distinct message recipient,
  • Event participation (20%): Career fair/event registrants to attendees, and
  • Relationships (15%): Reciprocal messaging exchange.

In addition to the above criteria, employers must have met a minimum threshold of 100 candidates reached via a message and 10 events attended or hosted in 2021 to become eligible for a 2022 win. According to Handshake, not only did RSM score exceptionally high on these metrics, but also proved that the firm has expanded access to early career opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
