RSM Gives Back to the Community During Biennial Owners’ Meeting

CHICAGO – (June 29, 2022) – RSM US LLP (RSM) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to give back to the community through the firm’s biennial owners’ meeting. During the event, RSM’s owners and other attendees packed and donated 1,300 backpacks for Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada and raised $265,795 for more than 90 deserving nonprofits nationwide and in Canada through a 5K walk/run along the Las Vegas strip. Organizations benefitting from the efforts include local school districts, Boys and Girls Clubs, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity and many others.

Philanthropic efforts such as these have become an integral part of RSM’s biennial owners’ meetings, providing the firm’s leaders with opportunities to support the local communities where these meetings take place.

“At RSM, stewardship has been one of our core values since our firm was founded 96 years ago in 1926, and it continues to be a key focus for us today,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO with RSM US LLP. “When our owners come together every other year to discuss the business and related issues, we’re compelled to incorporate a philanthropic component that allows us to support the local community – as a way of thanking them for hosting our event. This year, we are thrilled to give back to Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada and other deserving charitable organizations through our biennial meeting.”

In addition to activities related to the firm’s biennial owners’ meeting, RSM and the RSM US Foundation support communities across the country and in Canada where its people live and work through:

• Volunteer Day – Established in 2010, RSM Volunteer Day demonstrates our commitment to giving our time in the communities where our people live and work. In 2021, 4,252 RSM people, friends and family members participated in more than 100 virtual and in-person volunteer activities across the country and in Canada to give back to their local communities. Supporting 91 charitable organizations, volunteer activities included assembling back-to-school backpacks, packing meals for those in need, landscaping at local schools, creating pickleball courts at Boys and Girls Clubs and other activities
  
• Birdies Fore Love – RSM partners with the Davis Love Foundation – host organization for The RSM Classic, a PGA TOUR event – on Birdies Fore Love. Through this program, each RSM office selects a local charity that supports youth in the areas of hunger, housing or health. Each charity benefits from the funds raised locally by employees clients, family and friends. With a generous match from the RSM US Foundation, we were able to give more than $5.5 million to deserving charities in 2021, bringing the grand total raised for those in need through the tournament since its inception to $28,869,523.
