RSM Names Abay Zhunussov Deal Analytics Leader

CHICAGO – (April 26, 2022) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – named Abay Zhunussov as the firm’s deal analytics leader.

In this role, Zhunussov will be responsible for leading and developing RSM’s deal analytics team in the U.S., Canada and India. He will focus on implementing innovative approaches to deliver industry-specific analysis to clients involved in M&A transactions and will also help RSM’s data and digital services practice identify and pursue opportunities.

Zhunussov brings 13 years of experience at a Big Four accounting firm working in Kazakhstan, United Kingdom and New York City. Zhunussov has led many teams of deal professionals and data scientists on a number of M&A transactions over the past 10 years.

Zhunussov earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Kazakh-British Technical University in Kazakhstan. He also earned a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute in New York.
