CHICAGO – (July 26, 2022) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – and Junior Achievement USA (JA) recently announced the continuation of RSM’s support of the JA Take Stock in Your Future™ program and JA Stock Market Challenge. Initially announced in June 2021, this most recent announcement of an additional $747,000 fulfills an original $3 million commitment to JA.
These funds will help with the completion of the Stock Market Challenge software development, branding and marketing, platform testing, student events and ongoing software maintenance over the next two years.
“Junior Achievement’s mission of inspiring and preparing young people to succeed is in direct alignment with the RSM US Foundation’s mission of building tomorrow’s middle market leaders by enhancing educational outcomes through programs that provide individuals with career paths to become entrepreneurs or middle market business leaders, and/or that serve youth in the areas of hunger, housing or health,” said Doug Opheim, chief financial officer with RSM US LLP and chairman of the board of directors for the RSM US Foundation. “We are honored to be able to help positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education as well as critical life skills.”
“RSM’s support of the JA Stock Market Challenge, and other initiatives that increase the financial literacy of the young people we serve, has been critical in helping JA give students the tools they need to grow into financially capable adults,” said Jack E. Kosakowski, president and CEO of Junior Achievement USA. “RSM’s investment goes beyond money and to the commitment of dedicated RSM professionals across the country who serve as JA volunteers on our local boards of directors and in classrooms throughout the nation.”
“Being involved with Junior Achievement has been a highlight of my career,” said Bill Kracunas, a principal in management consulting with RSM US LLP, and a member of Junior Achievement USA’s board of directors. “It’s fulfilling to watch the positive difference that we’re able to help JA achieve through our financial support.”
