Maria Severino Named National Tax Industry Leader
CHICAGO – (August 31, 2022) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – recently named Maria Severino the firm’s National Tax Industry Leader. Severino succeeds Matt Talcoff, who became the firm’s Washington National Tax Leader in May 2022.
In Severino’s new role, she will lead the tax practice’s client experience efforts around industry, helping to drive a collaborative effort focused on delivering technical knowledge, industry expertise and technology solutions that meet the needs of the middle market globally.
In addition to her new position, she will maintain her role as national tax leader of RSM Canada, which she assumed in 2017. Along with leading the growth and geographic expansion of the RSM Canada tax practice, Severino played a critical role in launching its Canada National Tax Centre.

Severino joined RSM in 2017, having built her career in public accounting. For nearly three decades, she has advised public, private and multinational corporate clients in a wide range of industries, including financial services, industrials, technology and business services. She has provided strategic tax guidance and solutions around mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as inbound and outbound investments and business expansions.
