ALPFA Recognizes RSM’s Alejandra Alanis and Isabel Hernandez as 2022 Rising Stars

CHICAGO – (December 14, 2022) – The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) recently announced its 2022 Rising Stars list, which included RSM’s Alejandra (Ale) Alanis, consulting manager, and Isabel Hernandez, business tax senior manager. Both Alanis and Hernandez were also named to ALPFA’s 2021 list of Rising Stars, making this their second consecutive year on the prestigious list.

According to ALPFA, which announced this year’s winners on Latina Equal Pay Day, by encouraging corporate and community partners to nominate high-performing, high potential Latina talent for this and ALPFA’s Latinas to Watch list, companies recognize their Latina employees, understand their contributions and value them – strong steps toward dismantling the systemic barriers facing Latinas.

“As a senior executive who has spent over 30 years in a male-dominated space, it is shocking to see how far Latinas still are from a fair wage,” said Enna Jimenez, ALPFA national board member and a Latina to Watch. “It is with the help of organizations like ALPFA that we are intentionally moving the needle to educate women and organizations on how to reduce this wage gap. I am proud to be an ALPFA national board member as we continue to be a leader driving awareness and inclusion amongst our corporate partners and our membership. It is time to take action and have our voices heard.”

“What an honor for Ale and Isabel – two of RSM’s ‘shining stars’ – to be named to ALPFA’s Rising Stars list for the second straight year,” said Carlos Hernandez, RSM partner and national ¡HOLA! employee network group (ENG) leader. “We are so proud of Ale and Isabel and everything they do for our clients and our firm. On behalf of our colleagues across the U.S., Canada, India and El Salvador, I’d like to congratulate Ale and Isabel on this special recognition.”

“I am humbled to receive this recognition,” said Alanis. “ALPFA helped me secure my first internship, and the organization continues to be an important part of my professional growth and development. Being recognized by an organization that’s so important to me is incredibly meaningful.”

“I am truly honored to receive this recognition from ALPFA,” said Hernandez. “ALPFA is all about making an impact in the lives of our Latino professionals and communities, which is definitely a passion of mine. I appreciate all the mentors who have had an impact in my career and life and want to pay that forward.”
