(CHICAGO) (April 14, 2022) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce that the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) recently named Alejandra (Ale) Alanis, consulting manager, and Isabel Hernandez, tax manager, as 2021 Rising Stars.

ALPFA, the country’s largest Latino professional association, highlights the most powerful and influential Latina trailblazers in business, entrepreneurship and civic engagement, while empowering and encouraging the next generation of Latina leaders to reach their full potential.

One way that ALFPA continues to empower Latina leaders is through the Rising Star award. The award grants ALPFA corporate partners the opportunity to recognize Latinas in their organizations who are leading and impacting businesses and their communities. Alanis and Hernandez were recently recognized as Rising Stars during the Most Powerful Latinas (MPL) 2021 Summit and in this recognition video

“We are thrilled that Ale and Isabel have been recognized as ALPFA Rising Stars,” said Carlos Hernandez, RSM US partner, and national ¡HOLA! employee network group (ENG) leader. “Ale and Isabel are driven and talented high achievers. They are future leaders who represent our firm and the Hispanic community with the upmost integrity and excellence. On behalf of RSM’s people across the U.S., and in Canada, we congratulate them both on this well-deserved recognition.”

“It’s an incredible honor to receive this award as I am very passionate about ALPFA’s mission and everything that they stand for,” said Alanis. “ALPFA has been part of my corporate journey since day one, when they helped me land my first internship. They have empowered me to show up as my authentic self, and this award helps solidify the importance of continuing to serve my clients and community to the best of my ability.”

“Receiving this recognition is truly an honor,” said Hernandez. “My involvement with the organization began when I attended my first ALPFA convention with RSM in 2015. It was life-changing and marked the beginning of my amazing journey with the firm as both a tax professional and leader of the ¡HOLA! employee network group (ENG). It also solidified my lifelong commitment to ALPFA and my desire to give back to a powerful organization that gives so much to the Latino community.”
