CHICAGO – (June 8, 2021) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – has developed a comprehensive state-of-the-art Disease and Outbreak Management System for state and county government agencies on Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 to use in connection with electronic health records, laboratory information management systems and other data sources.

While many contact-tracing solutions were developed and implemented over the past 14-18 months in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, RSM’s Disease and Outbreak Management System, released March 2020, has been in development for more than five years and is the first full disease and outbreak management system to be developed in a decade.

The Disease and Outbreak Management System integrates Microsoft Dynamics 365 to provide comprehensive disease surveillance capabilities for state and local agencies, enabling those on the platform to identify, plan for and adapt quickly to evolving scenarios that could have public health care implications. It also supports the Whole Person Care approach to public health which addresses the overall quality of life for individuals with chronic medical conditions.
