RSM Launches Middle Market Collaborative for Understanding

CHICAGO – (February 24, 2021) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation's leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – announced today that it has launched the Middle Market Collaborative for Understanding. This group will come together to actively enhance diversity, equity and inclusion within their organizations and across the broader middle market business community by reviewing insights and sharing ideas and best practices to take back to their teams. Additionally, RSM will produce resources and thought leadership based on the meetings to share the group’s key learnings.

The Collaborative includes 14 inaugural members (including RSM) from diverse industries and geographies, and with varying levels of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) maturity. The Collaborative’s goal is to encourage deep discussion and collective action around diversity and inclusion within each member organization and across the middle market.

“At RSM, we are committed to advancing diversity, racial understanding and inclusion,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO with RSM US LLP. “Throughout our own inclusion journey – and especially over the last few months – we have been moved by the positive impact intentional actions and a focus on understanding have had on our culture, our people, our clients and our communities. I look forward to working with fellow business leaders through The Collaborative to elevate the importance of diversity and inclusion in the middle market to drive meaningful change and create a more equitable future.”

Each member organization’s chief executive officer, chief marketing officer and chief human capital officer (or equivalent roles) were invited to participate in The Collaborative, which will include quarterly meetings. RSM’s Andy Bosman, chief marketing officer; Katie Lamkin, chief human resources officer, and Tracey Walker, national director government affairs; culture, diversity and inclusion, will join Adams as RSM’s representatives in The Collaborative. Donna Sciarappa, RSM Great Lakes market leader, has also been instrumental in the formation of The Collaborative as co-executive sponsor with Bosman.

As a member and convener of The Collaborative, RSM will produce DEI thought leadership and assets to share with other middle market leaders and organizations, helping to elevate the group’s key learnings with non-member organizations.
