RSM Announces New Industry Audit Policy Leaders

CHICAGO – (June 7, 2021) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce new industry audit policy leaders in the firm’s National Professional Standards Group (NPSG) Industry Program.

The industry audit policy leaders are responsible for industry-specific assurance matters, including accounting and auditing guidance. In addition to supporting audit teams and clients, they will develop audit tools and audit- and accounting-thought leadership centered on their respective industries—in this case: business and professional services; consumer products; health care; industrials; life sciences; real estate; and technology, media and telecom.

“Not only will these bright audit professionals enhance our audit effectiveness and efficiency by developing industry-specific guidance and practice aids, but their specialization will also enable us to develop new technologies and drive audit innovation within their industries,” said RSM NPSG Industry Program Leader Mike Lundberg.

RSM’s new industry audit policy leaders are:

• Business and Professional Services Audit Policy Leader Gary Krusenoski has worked in the firm’s industry practice for 10 years. He has hosted CPE training for audit professionals ranging in experience, and he serves as an ASC 606 revenue recognition ambassador. He is located in Schaumburg, Ill.
• Consumer Products Audit Policy Leader Kevin Brady has spent seven of his 14 years at RSM serving consumer products clients. As an ASC 606 revenue recognition ambassador and ASC 842 lease ambassador, he helps clients adopt those standards. He is based in Blue Bell, Pa.
• Health Care Audit Policy Leader Nick Ward has specialized in health care for five of his eight years at RSM. He has overseen internal training for audit professionals in the health care and insurance industries, as well as external presentations on adopting the ASC 842 lease standard. He is located in Minneapolis, Minn.
• Industrials Audit Policy Leader Ryan McGurk has supported the firm’s industrials practice for 12 years.  He has worked with privately-held and SEC-reporting companies, and he has facilitated local and national training for the firm. He is based in Stamford, Conn.
• Life Sciences Audit Policy Leader Rachel Rabinowitz has spent a decade in the firm’s industry practice. She works with SEC-reporting companies and has assists clients with matters related to initial public offerings. She also has facilitated various internal audit trainings. She is located in New York City.
• Real Estate Audit Policy Leader Veronica Bulman has supported the firm’s industry practice for 12 years. She completed the NPSG rotation program, a career development initiative, during which she developed various industry practice aids. She is based in Boston, Mass.
• Technology, Media and Telecom Audit Policy Leader Sean Trepanier has worked at RSM for 10 of his 12 years in the industry. He is an ASC 606 revenue recognition ambassador, and he assists local teams with adopting the standard and other technical accounting matters. He also has served the life sciences industry and leads the Bay Area Life Science Launch Team. He is based in San Francisco, Calif.
