RSM Adds LPGA Professionals Maria Fassi, Megan Khang to Team RSM

CHICAGO – (June 2, 2021) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services – is excited to announce the addition of LPGA professionals Maria Fassi and Megan Khang to Team RSM. Fassi and Khang will sport the RSM logo on the fronts of their shirts, with Khang debuting the addition of the RSM logo during this year’s U.S. Women’s Open, and Fassi debuting the addition of the RSM logo when she tees it up later this month.

Both Fassi and Khang are notable rising LPGA stars who share RSM’s core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence and stewardship.

Fassi is a Mexican professional golfer with the LPGA, who is currently ranked 153 in the Rolex Ranking, with a season-best T9 finish at the Marathon LPGA Classic. In 2019, in addition to winning the Individual NCAA title, she played at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship and finished runner-up to her friend and rival Jennifer Kupcho. Fassi earned her card on the LPGA in December 2019, but deferred membership until she graduated from the University of Arkansas, competing as an amateur. She turned professional in May 2019, making her professional debut at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open where she finished T12.

Having a family whose lives revolved around sports, Fassi enjoys cooking with friends and family in Mexico and Arkansas, traveling, meditation and wellness. She recently formed the Maria Fassi Foundation, promoting inclusivity in golf and creating a space for children with disabilities to come learn and enjoy a sport with lifelong benefits.

Khang is an American professional golfer with the LPGA, and is the first player of Hmong and Laotian descent to do so. Her parents were refugees from the Vietnam War from Laos, and came to the U.S. with their respective families in the 1970s. Khang started playing golf at age five, and credits her dad as having the most influence on her career. She is currently ranked 45 in the Rolex Ranking, and is ranked 3rd with the LPGA in driving accuracy (85.70). Khang was part of the 2019 Solheim Cup team and finished fifth at the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open.

Khang grew up in Massachusetts, and enjoys snowboarding, hiking, fishing, swimming and beach-going. She has partnered with Golf Fore Africa, whose mission is to bring water to rural areas in Zambia and to end the global water crisis. Khang helps raise awareness and financial support for the organization and plays in their fundraising events each year, hoping to garner enough support to finance her own well in Zambia, which brings clean water, health and hope to more than 300 people living in poverty.

“We are excited about adding Maria and Megan to Team RSM, rounding out our roster of professional golfers who not only share our firm’s core values, but who also demonstrate the characteristics of caring, curiosity, collaboration, courage and critical thinking that our people demonstrate every day as they provide our middle market clients around the world with the best possible service to help them succeed,” said Andy Bosman, chief marketing officer with RSM US LLP. “We look forward to partnering with Maria and Megan to expand our community impact including finding ways to increase access to the game of golf for youth from diverse backgrounds across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.”

Fassi and Khang join fellow Team RSM members Abraham Ancer, Zach Johnson, Davis Love III, Chris Kirk and Dru Love from the PGA Tour, Hinrich Arkenau and Andy Sullivan from the European Tour, and Alice Hewson from the Ladies European Tour.

“I’m thrilled to see us add two LPGA professionals to Team RSM,” said Kate Seitz, partner and national STAR (women’s) employee network group leader with RSM US LLP. “As the leader of our firm’s women’s group, I understand the importance of elevating the accomplishments of women and of women encouraging one another on our journeys. Having Maria and Megan on Team RSM helps us do that – with our people, with our clients and with women around the world.”
