CHICAGO – (September 1, 2020) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – was recently ranked No. 13 in the nation on Modern Healthcare’s 2020 list of the largest management consulting firms.
Results of the annual survey, listing the largest healthcare management consulting firms by 2019 total provider revenue, were announced in the publication’s August issue.
“It is exciting for us to be recognized on this highly regarded list of firms providing consulting services to the health care industry,” said Matt Wolf, health care senior analyst with RSM US LLP. “We have an unwavering commitment to understanding the issues and challenges facing the industry, and have been using this deep knowledge base to advise and guide our health care clients – and the industry at large – especially through the past few months as COVID-19 has affected health care organizations and their workforce in ways few could have predicted.”
Health care systems and providers have been tested in meeting patient care needs during the COVID-19 global health crisis, managing a newly formed remote workforce, and addressing a significantly affected bottom line. Many health care systems are finding new ways to structure their organizations and care for their communities, often using digital strategies to help bridge the gaps. This year’s Modern Healthcare survey revealed that on the consulting side, the need for technology will be more important than ever.
“We have been (virtually) sitting side-by-side with our clients as we collaborate on and critically evaluate the new challenges and opportunities created by COVID-19,” said Wolf. “The discussions we’ve been having on labor, pricing transparency, digital health and analytics will have long-term impacts for our clients and the communities they serve.”
“Being included on this list speaks to our extensive and hands-on consulting experience in areas such as digital health, margin improvement, security and privacy and price transparency,” said Carlos Hernandez, national health care consulting leader with RSM US LLP. “We’ve also been focused on trends such as the expansion of telehealth for virtual urgent care and emergency department visits and financial sustainability through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Our team has not only been helping our clients survive the pandemic, but to thrive throughout it. I am proud to be ranked on this list of largest health care management consulting firms.”
