RSM Congratulates Robert Streb, Winner of the 11th RSM Classic

CHICAGO – (November 22, 2020) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation's leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market and title sponsor of The RSM Classic – is pleased to congratulate Robert Streb, on winning the 11th annual event at Sea Island, Georgia! As winner of the 2014 RSM Classic, this is the second time he took home the tournament trophy.

Following a dramatic two-hole playoff with fellow previous RSM Classic champion Kevin Kisner, 33-year-old Streb, born in Chickasha, OK, won this year’s tournament. Streb’s two  PGA TOUR wins have come at The RSM Classic.

“This year’s RSM Classic was different in a number of ways due to COVID-19,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO with RSM US LLP. “While we missed having our clients, friends and other golf fans with us in the Golden Isles, we were thrilled to offer a number of virtual opportunities for people to connect with us throughout the week. We were also honored to be able to once again support charitable organizations through Birdies Fore Love.

On behalf of our 13,000 colleagues in the U.S. and in Canada, I’d like to congratulate Robert on his second win of The RSM Classic. We’re glad to have Robert as part of rich history of our firm and of The RSM Classic.”

In addition to Streb, previous winners include Tyler Duncan, Charles Howell, Austin Cook, Mackenzie Hughes, Kevin Kisner, Chris Kirk, Tommy Gainey, Ben Crane and Heath Slocum.

“The RSM Classic has become part of our firm’s history, and the good that we’re able to do through our Birdies Fore Love program is truly humbling,” said Doug Opheim, chief financial officer with RSM US LLP and chair of the RSM US Foundation. “With a matching gift from the RSM US Foundation, our people raised more than $4 million for those in need through this year’s Birdies Fore Love efforts, bringing the grand total raised for those in need to more than $21.6 million since the tournament began in 2010.”

Proceeds from this year’s RSM Classic will benefit national and local charitable organizations aligned with the RSM US Foundation’s mission of building tomorrow’s middle market business leaders by supporting organizations committed to providing stable environments for youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing and health.

“The RSM Classic is always one of the highlights of the PGA TOUR each year, and this year’s tournament was no exception,” said Andy Bosman, chief marketing officer with RSM US LLP. “With this year’s tournament following on the heels of the rescheduled Masters, we saw one of the strongest playing fields to date, in spite of the pandemic. There’s no doubt that Sea Island has become known as a world-class destination – for players, their families and for golf fans from around the world. We look forward to being able to gather here at Sea Island next year for the 12th RSM Classic.”
