Working Mother Names RSM One of its “Best Companies for Dads”

CHICAGO – (October 10, 2019) – Working Mother recently revealed its second annual Best Companies for Dads list, celebrating organizations that lead in the areas of paternity and gender-neutral parental leave, flexible schedules, phase-back programs for dads and more. RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – was one of the 50 companies recognized on this year’s list.

"Moms and dads with careers want employers who support them at work and at home," says Meredith Bodgas, editor-in-chief of Working Mother. “With more and more millennial dads speaking out, companies are improving their parental leave, flexible work, and telecommuting policies. That’s because these employers know that when dads play a more active role at home, more women can succeed at work.”

RSM celebrates the value that each of the firm’s unique 11,000 people bring to the workplace and to its clients. For example, earlier this summer, the firm’s Family First employee network group (one of the firm’s 11 employee-led ENGs) recognized a Working Father and Mother of the Year, Patrick McConnell and Michele DeVito, for successfully managing their personal and professional priorities, providing excellent experiences for their colleagues and the firm’s clients, and serving as mentors and role models.

“At RSM, we understand that our people have both professional and personal aspirations, goals and priorities, and we strive to create an environment that enables our people to thrive – both at work and at home,” said Katie Lamkin, chief talent officer with RSM US LLP. “Recognitions such as this one are indicators that we’re offering the flexibility and providing benefits that are valued by our people. We’re thrilled to make this list for the second consecutive year.”

“We created the Best Dads list to applaud trendsetting companies that are listening to their employees and leading the way for other top employers,” says Subha V. Barry, president of Working Mother Media. “The data is clear. Dads who have the flexibility to do their part in parenting and caregiving provide support that is so important to a working mom’s success.”
