RSM's Sergio de la Fe Named ALPFA's 2019 Executive Leader of the Year

CHICAGO – (August 7, 2019) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce that Sergio de la Fe, consulting partner and chairman of the board of directors, has been named by ALPFA as its 2019 Executive of the Year.

ALPFA’s Executive of the Year award is presented annually during ALPFA’s annual convention to a senior leader who is career-oriented, a strong supporter within a corporate sponsor firm, who has promoted diversity within Corporate America, and who has a strong personal interest in ALPFA’s mission.

de la Fe has more than 28 years of experience as an audit and consulting partner serving a variety of clients with complex business issues, which he credits with preparing him for numerous leadership roles within RSM. He quickly became involved in the firm’s Culture Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) efforts in 2014, when the firm launched those efforts. de la Fe played an active role in the program’s development and implementation, including serving as founding member of the firm’s employee network council and as co-founder of the firm’s ¡HOLA! employee network group (ENG), one of the firm’s 11 employee-led ENGs.

“Sergio was instrumental in getting our CDI efforts up-and-running at RSM,” said Richard Caturano, national leader – culture, diversity and inclusion with RSM US LLP. “He’s a tireless advocate for minority groups, and for those with nontraditional backgrounds. He makes us expand our thinking, and we thank him for that.”

He has been involved in ALPFA during his professional career by advocating for RSM’s initial and continued sponsorship and attending and presenting at the ALPFA national conventions. We are pleased to present Sergio with this recognition.”
