RSM US Foundation Awards $100K in Scholarships through Power Your Education

CHICAGO – (April 23, 2019) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce it has selected 10 students to receive $10,000 each toward their 2019/2020 tuition (for a total of $100,000 in scholarships) through the RSM US Foundation's national scholarship program: Power Your Education. Each student also earned an invitation to RSM’s competitive Pathways Summer Leadership Program.

The winners were selected based on a number of core criteria, including: pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business or technology; a short answer describing something that makes them unique; and a 30-second video response to the question: “What does RSM’s brand promise – the Power of Being Understood – mean to you?” Judges assessed the essays based on creativity, quality of writing and reflection of the applicant’s individuality, and they evaluated the degree to which each video submission reflected RSM’s core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence and stewardship.

This year’s scholarship winners are:

• Volunteer Day - Established in 2010, RSM US Volunteer Day represents our commitment to giving our time in the communities where we work and live. In 2018, approximately 2,400 RSM employees and clients participated in more than 56 volunteer activities across the country to give back to their local communities. More than 57 charities benefited, including Ronald McDonald House, schools, food banks and children's hospital.
• Birdies Fore Love – RSM partners with the Davis Love Foundation – host organization of PGA TOUR event The RSM Classic – on Birdies Fore Love. Through the program, each RSM office selects a local charity that supports youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing and health. Each charity benefits from the funds raised locally by employees, clients, family and friends. With a generous match from the RSM US Foundation, we were able to give over $2.8 million directly to deserving charities in 2018.
