CHICAGO – (January 23, 2019) – RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market and title sponsor of The RSM Classic – is pleased to congratulate Team RSM member Davis Love III on his upcoming induction into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.
Love, Born in Charlotte, played college golf at the University of North Carolina, where he was a three-time All-American, and then moved on to a great professional career. His 21 wins on the PGA TOUR include the 1997 PGA Championship, and he was in the top 10 of the official World Golf rankings for more than 450 weeks. He has captained the U.S. Ryder Cup teams twice, and joined the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2017. Love has been a member of Team RSM since 2010.
“Davis is a great friend of RSM, and a terrific advocate for all of the philanthropic efforts related to The RSM Classic,” said Andy Bosman, chief marketing officer with RSM US LLP. “We are thrilled that he’s receiving yet another accolade for his many achievements over his successful career, and we’re proud that he’s part of Team RSM.”
Love is being inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame along with professional football player and artist Ernie Barnes; Durham City coach Willie Bradshaw; hunter, fisherman and conservationist Eddie Bridges; football coach Rod Broadway; former president of the NCAA Gene Corrigan; NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.; college wrestling coach Steve Gabriel; women’s basketball official Dee Kantner; college football player and businessman Paul Miller; tennis player, coach and administrator Neill McGeachy; and high school football coach Thell Overman.
