RSM Names Tony Urban National Tax Consulting Services Leader

RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – announced today that Tony Urban has been appointed to serve as national tax consulting services leader, effective Sept. 1, 2018. Urban will continue to be based out of the firm’s Omaha office.

In his new role, Urban will be responsible for developing strategies that grow tax consulting services, and positioning RSM as the preeminent first-choice advisor for middle market leaders’ tax consulting needs. He is a current member of the RSM US LLP national tax leadership team and a member of the RSM US Board of Directors.

Nedder, who will become national leader of the RSM US tax practice Sept. 1. “Tony’s main responsibility in his new role will be to continue building our tax consultative service capabilities. He has a proven track record understanding our clients’ needs, which makes him the right person for this job.”

For the last seven years, Urban has served as national leader for the RSM state and local tax practice. He has more than 25 years of experience providing tax compliance, tax planning and business advisory services to clients, primarily in the industrial products and consumer products industries. He has served these clients with a consultative approach, leveraging the firm’s resources and capabilities across all three lines of business.

Urban earned a B.S. in accounting and economics from Midland University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. A member of the Missouri Bar Association and the American Bar Association, he currently serves as treasurer of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s executive committee.
