Microsoft will end product support and updates for Dynamics GP on Dec. 31, 2029, and plans to only provide two years of security updates after that.
While Dynamics GP has been and continues to be an incredible solution, organizations need to be aware of the challenges and risks that come with staying on a solution that will no longer be supported. Companies need to start planning today for what they will do once Dynamics GP is sunsetted. It may seem like there’s a long time to get ready for this change—but documenting requirements, reviewing products and implementing a new system can take years.
To understand where organizations currently are in the process of moving to a new solution, RSM conducted a survey of chief technology officers and controllers at North American organizations ranging in size from fewer than 10 employees to more than 500 employees across a wide variety of industries.
