We have issued an updated version of our white paper, Accounting for bankruptcies, to provide accounting and financial reporting guidance for entities that have filed petitions with the Bankruptcy Court and expect to reorganize as going concerns under Chapter 11, as well as entities that have emerged from Chapter 11 under confirmed plans. The guidance in this publication is also applicable prepackaged bankruptcies (i.e., those where the bankruptcy plan has been confirmed prior to filing under Chapter 11).
