As the global ESG strategy leader for RSM North America, Trish Beltran leads international cross-border projects, assisting clients in navigating the global ESG reporting landscape. Trish leads the development of RSM’s global approach to key upcoming North American and EU sustainability-related regulations, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), SEC Climate Rules and the California Climate Bills SB 253 and SB 261. Trish has driven the establishment and refinement of ESG risk services and methodologies, integrating frameworks like Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol into comprehensive risk projects. Trish also brings valuable skills in project management, having successfully mobilized and executed project management office functions for projects ranging from two months to three years, with multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration.
In addition to serving clients externally, Trish is also a global leader in progressing and aligning RSM’s global ESG delivery. Working closely with RSM’s global network including Europe and Asia, Trish works internally with cross-functional teams to enable continuous alignment, shared methodologies, common growth paths and a unified global approach to ensure that clients receive the highest quality service and solutions to their most pressing ESG challenges. Trish has extensive experience assisting clients in both the private and public sectors with revenues above $135 billion, in developing and maturing their ESG strategies.
Trish is also an active advocate for ESG awareness and education, serving as RSM's culture of inclusion national brand and strategy leader. In this role, she promotes ESG throughout RSM, leveraging her knowledge and experience to drive positive change and engagement across the organization.
Within RSM’s ESG advisory practice, Trish leads projects across industries and provides guidance to our clients in maturing their ESG journey through developing project portfolios and road maps of initiatives to achieve an optimized future state process, as well as enabling the continuous evolvement of a company's ESG maturity. Trish is also a thought leader and a key contributor in the development of RSM’s proprietary ESG Rapid Assessment methodology, ESG risk methodology, ESG due diligence methodology, double materiality assessment and technology integration through partnerships like Workiva and ServiceNow.
