Marissa joined the firm in 2015 and she currently manages a project team of 15 to 20 individuals, the largest such team in RSM’s Chicago office. She manages, scopes and executes various work streams and projects at the largest U.S.-based futures exchange, specifically relating to Commodity Futures Trading Commission system safeguards testing.
In addition to her extensive experience scoping and executing engagements for clients in the capital markets space, Marissa has advised numerous financial services organizations on how to achieve and maintain compliance with technology or cybersecurity regulations. She assisted an equity derivatives clearinghouse with updating and aligning its processes to cloud frameworks. She has led efforts to develop compliance work programs for the largest U.S.-based options exchange, related to IOSCO Principles for Financial Benchmarks and the European Union Benchmarks Regulation.
Marissa assists in IT and internal audits as well as system and organization control (SOC) engagements, which involve a variety of hardware, software and system environments. Overall, Marissa’s engagements encompass all aspects of computer security, including, but not limited to:
