Kerensa Butler is a partner and a member of the board of directors at RSM US LLP. As the leader of our private equity (PE) strategy for the assurance practice, Kerensa guides RSM’s strategic efforts to serve PE firms and their portfolio companies within a holistic client experience model focused on excellence across industries.
Kerensa, a devoted RSM leader, is dedicated to sharpening RSM’s future and contributing to the legacy RSM is building for its next generation of leaders. With nearly 30 years of serving Private Equity (PE) firms and their portfolio companies, she joined RSM's national PE leadership team in 2006. Her expertise covers assurance, tax, accounting, and consulting services, specializing in M&A and business combinations. Focused on business services and consumer products, Kerensa tailors services for value creation across industries.
As an enterprise account leader, she collaboratively engages teams to address client challenges, deliver value-added solutions and ensure their satisfaction. Kerensa actively participates in RSM's culture of inclusion initiative, where she is actively involved in the Pride network group as a past national leader and current member of the partner advisory committee.
In 2023, Kerensa was recognized as a trailblazing woman in private equity by Kayo and named one of the top private equity consultants and leaders by The Consulting Report. In 2018, she received the South Florida Business Journal's Business of Pride Award. Kerensa is committed to advancing culture of inclusion at RSM and the PE industry.
Outside of work, Kerensa enjoys adventures with her wife, daughter, and puppies, both locally and globally.
