Firsthand Names RSM to 100 Best Internships for 2022 List

CHICAGO – (November 4, 2021) – Career-building platform, Firsthand, recently named RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – to the platform’s list of 100 Best Internships for 2022.

The rankings are based on a survey of more than 11,400 current and former interns from more than 100 internship programs.

“At RSM, we understand the value of our interns, and recognize their unique accomplishments as well as their potential,” said Katie Lamkin, chief human resources officer with RSM US LLP. “We have our interns work directly with key decision-makers – both inside and outside of our firm. This helps our interns come up the learning curve quickly so they can jump-start their fulltime careers when they graduate.”

This past summer, Firsthand asked interns to rate their internship experiences. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, respondents were asked to rate their internship experiences in six core areas: career development, compensation and benefits, diversity, fulltime employment prospects, interview process and quality of life.

To determine an overall score for each program, the ratings were assigned relative weights based on what interns said they value most in an internship. Overall scores are based on the following weighted formula: 30% career development, 20% employment prospects, 20% quality of life, 20% compensation, 5% diversity and 5% interview process.

Other internship programs recognized on the 100 Best Internships list for 2022 include programs with AFLAC, Comcast/NBC Universal, FedEx, Unilever, The Home Depot, Nickelodeon Animation, and others.
