From plant to portafilter, Stumptown pays fervent attention to detail at every step. Stumptown focuses on quality control in cupping labs, meticulous creation of roasting profiles and extensive barista education. They value their relationships with customers, growers and one another. With roastery facilities in four cities, several cafes and fantastic wholesale partnerships around the country, Stumptown thinks there’s a lot to be proud of.
Stumptown utilizes the NetSuite platform for its enterprise resource planning (ERP), and wanted to provide a critical business to business (B2B) website to accommodate more automation and self-service for its coffee retailer buyers. Modern trends in B2B commerce are growing more similar to those demanded for business to consumer (B2C), and Stumptown’s growing B2B customer base demanded modernization. Key requirements for the initiative included:
- Full integration to ERP and Financials
- A modern, secure, fully responsive website
- Web order sales forms with filtering price level, shipping default (and route)
- Automated messaging for purchase orders with shipping information
- My Account setup providing customer statements, invoices and payment history
- Reorder capabilities
Stumptown engaged with RSM to build a SuiteCommerce Advanced site on the NetSuite platform that would meet all of these requirements, including full integration to NetSuite out of the box. The new site delivers a user-friendly wholesale shopping experience for B2B buyers, and Stumptown has a real-time view of all orders at any stage since NetSuite and SuiteCommerce Advanced share a single database.
