Murat Tasel is a tax partner and enterprise account leader for RSM US LLP, based in the firm’s Baltimore office. In 2022 Murat was named as the firm's global compliance and reporting services leader.

Murat also serves as the leader of RSM’s Multicultural employee network group (ENG), where he champions inclusion, collaboration and professional growth for team members across the organization. A long-time participant in the group, he has supported local events, coached colleagues and helped foster a culture of trust and belonging. A graduate of the Greater Baltimore Leadership Program, Murat brings a commitment to multicultural leadership that aligns with RSM’s values and vision. As ENG leader, his focus is on driving inclusion, business alignment and empowering members to turn their cultural strengths into career success.

Murat has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, primarily in tax, serving fast-growing businesses conducting global operations in the consumer products, industrial and manufacturing sectors. Murat’s focus includes pass-through entities such as S corporations, partnerships, and C corporations with a multistate presence and which either sell to or maintain a subsidiary presence in international markets.

In his dual role at RSM, Murat brings to client relationships the firm’s resources and capabilities within the U.S. and around the globe. These engagements are industry focused, tailored to each client’s business needs, and provide solutions to domestic and global compliance and business planning needs. Under Murat’s leadership, RSM manages the global business and compliance needs of more than 60 clients with operations in over 120 countries. 

Murat coordinates the global compliance process for his clients while also acting as a strategic advisor. He builds strong relationships, stays closely aligned with their business needs and offers insights that go beyond compliance. By combining technology with smart planning, he streamlines financial reporting and creates tax-efficient global business models.
