Kierra Young is a senior manager in RSM US LLP’s employment tax practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kierra joined RSM in 2018. Kierra’s practice includes complex employment tax advisory, and risk review and mitigation.
Kierra regularly consults with clients to review previously filed employment tax returns to identify refund and savings opportunities. Kierra also assists clients when they are completing corporate restructurings, including mergers and acquisitions, in order to drive employment tax savings and mitigate any adverse tax consequences. In addition, Kierra helps clients with nonresident withholding and payroll process reviews in order to help clients identify and mitigate the risks associated with having a mobile workforce.
Prior to joining RSM, Kierra worked for a Big Four accounting firm where she provided tax advisory services related to federal, state and local withholding compliance; multistate income tax withholding and reporting issues; federal and state refund analysis; federal, state and local tax controversy, penalty negotiation and abatement support; and multijurisdictional payroll tax issues, including expatriate and resident alien taxation.
