Joyce has served in leadership positions with RSM throughout the United States, including Des Moines, Iowa; Charlotte, North Carolina; and currently Atlanta. Her passion for people and developing talent provides a great foundation for her role as managing partner in the firm’s growing Atlanta office. As an assurance partner, her client work is focused on international private equity-owned companies in the consumer products and manufacturing space. While serving on the RSM board of directors, she chaired the strategy and innovation committee and was a member of the committees on finance, mergers and acquisitions, and partner matters.
In addition to her experience at RSM, Joyce was chief financial officer of a multibillion-dollar privately held grocery chain in the Southeast. She gained extensive experience and deep insight into the issues her clients face every day, including matters related to Treasury, insurance and risk, internal audit, investments, pension plan, benefits and information technology. Joyce also spent five years at a Big Four public accounting firm.
Joyce’s journey through several of RSM’s offices reflects her love of change. Her role as office leader has challenged her to keep learning and building new skills. Her professional growth in the business of public accounting has never stopped—and that’s just how she prefers it.
A segment of Joyce’s role as office managing partner is to encourage participation in the firm’s culture, diversity and inclusion (CDI) efforts. Joyce is a member of STAR and AACE, RSM’s employee network groups (ENG) that support and advance the firm’s women and Black professionals, respectively. She is proud of the Atlanta office’s active engagement around the firm’s CDI efforts. An empathetic leader, Joyce loves engaging in dialogue with talent and ensuring that RSM professionals understand the pathway to partnership as she continues to build and grow the Atlanta office.
